LOOK FOR THE GOOD!

LOOK FOR THE GOOD!

The earliest references to the concept of "looking for the good and praising it", go back over 2000 years and many thought leaders have used it in their writings ever since.

Intuitively it must be a good idea, but now there is proof of its positive effects.

The CIPD published research in November 2017 indicating that managers can improve team performance by focusing on building strengths, rather than on trying to fix weaknesses.

Most performance conversations focus on what went wrong and how to improve it, but it is far better to reflect instead on what worked well, why and how it can be replicated.

It's exactly the same when you talk to your inner self about improving your personal performance in your career.

Look for the good: think about what worked well, why it worked well and how can you replicate it? ....and it works for interviews as well!
